Eating for Two . . .wedding receptions

Today is the day we were honored to attend two weddings and receptions. The day started at 6:30am with ff/sf Greek yogurt, blueberries and walnuts. 3 1/2 hours later I had an egg white omelet with 4 whites. At the first wedding I had grapes, salad, carrots and a small piece of chicken. This is all around 12:30.
The next reception started at 4:30. For the cocktail hour I had 3 mini lamb chops, 2 bite size crab cakes, green beans, 2 strawberries, a piece of pineapple and a glass of red wine. Dinner started with a small chicken Caesar salad and a black bread roll followed by chicken and beef marsala over mashed potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms and another glass of red wine. Dessert, for me, was strawberries with dark chocolate sauce while everyone else at the table had all that plus 2 pieces of cake, each. Thank you God that I did not have cake or butter or fried food or anything not on my food plan.
Th exciting part of the day was hearing that someone we know went up to another guest and asked who Larry (my husband) was with and where was Larry's wife, Jane? That was a huge compliment.
Something interesting was talking with someone I know who is a nurse. Her questions and facial reactions made it obvious that she finds it hard to accept that I lost this weight without surgery and that I eat three meals and two snacks a day and eat all healthy food. I was taken aback by her questions because I have NOT have weight loss surgery and she implied that I must have done so. On the other hand, this just shows how rare it is for someone to keep the pounds off! SO many people gain it back. I am grateful not to be in that number today. Today I am still keeping the pounds off - one day at a time!
