My Mommy died

My mom has passed away. It was not expected.

The pain is horrible. When my cousin died last month I wrote that we dishonor the dead if we use food as an excuse to abuse our bodies under the mask of mourning. I will not dishonor my mother's life or memory.  That is my commitment. That is all I can say right now.  I will write when I can think straight for more than 5 minutes in a row.

Jane, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could tell you everything will be ok, but since I am still dealing with my own mother's death, I know it will not be. What I can tell you is that I am thinking of you, and each day will slowly become more bearable. Yes, be sure to honor her life. It's what she would have wanted.

Oh honey I am so sorry! Losing the one who gave you life is never easy at any age. Connect with those loved ones who are still with us and remember the love of the ones who have passed. ((((((Jane))))) <-- That's a hug for you.

Jane, dear, Jane. God bless you and comfort you. I know this pain. I know it, and how it rips you, and how you wail, and how you weep, and how the pain just won't stop.

I lost my mama in 2004 and fell into a depression that lasted 4 years. I don't know how the pain didn't kill me. BAr none, the most painful thing I experienced in the 52 years of life I"ve had.

But to be so loved. Ahhh, this is what I thank God for when I miss mom still. I was so loved. I loved so much back. No one loves you with the total unselfishness of a mom.

We had great moms. This is something to help us through...those memories.

Hugs,

(((Jane))),

A big hug to you and your family at this time. I can't even fathom what you are going through, but your great posts about the trips you took with your Mother recently are vivid in my mind, how special they were to you both. I thank you for letting me, and all of your blog readers, get to know her.

Take care,

A big hug to you, Jane! I remember when my Dad died, remembering all of the daddy moments when I was very young. Many years later after his death, they are still the strongest memories I have. So I know just what you mean. Let people care about you and float on the caring while you hurt. It helps a lot.
