To Write or To Sweat - This was the Question.

Last week was a very busy week. After today my work load lightens up a bit and I will get to post more. Last week I had a choice: I could write blog posts or I could increase my workout, as planned. I  choose to sweat out the week without writing. No matter how you look at it, it was the healthy choice!

Going to a podiatrist tomorrow about a toenail that keeps growing sideways. Going to see about having it narrowed. Hopefully that will not cause me to have to put my foot up a few days. I have no experience in this area so we shall see what happens.

Over the past few weeks I have increased my weight training 50% (time, not load). I have added an  evening walk into my off days, too.

What are you doing to bump it up this month?

Hope your toe thing is an easy fix!

To ramp it up this month, I'm going to continue on my Whole 30 past the "end" date of 5/30 and keep grains and dairy out of my diet. Just a stricter version of clean eating but one that I think is benefiting me, so I want to keep it going!

Yay for you on the strength training, Jane! :)

I had one full week off elliptical (two weeks ago) and got back on regular schedule last week. Then last week (back on elliptical), had full week off classes, but worked on my own at home. This is my first week with all cylinders running again. Always very watchful because NOT getting going again is soooooo very easy to do

An increase of 50% is impressive - well done! Hope it gets you the results you are looking for. I'm also adding evening walks - a great way to finish the day and get some more exercise in.

That sounds painful, Jane. I will be interested in hearing how it turns out. Take care...

Ugh! I am going to the beach this Friday so the Dr is going to put off removing part of the toenail to narrow the bed width until I have a sting of quiet days in a row. I am thinking June 14th or even July. In the meantime it is okay for now.
Oh, and the 2nd toe on both feet is not taking the pressure on the pad when I step. They are both clenching and hitting with the top of the toe. Something like that could turn into a hammer toe surgery in the future, ladies, so if you are younger than me and see that on your feet, get checked now before you get hammer toes! Mine are still okay. Luckily I never where high, high heels are pointy toed shoes, which would kill me anyway.

E. Jane - your blog is still not letting me in. I think you will need to send me another invitation - unless. . . .

Interesting about your second toes.

I had a yoga instructor who used to have us "fix" our toes in many different stance/positions. A lot of attention to how those toes were situated next to each other -alignment, pads on floor, spacing, etc. she trained me well, because I still fix my toes, but I am not sure I have had any other instructor ever give those cues.
